Lovely Lyon

so yes, this is for you guys who's been waiting for my journey blog.

you must be read my last blog, I've told you about my student exchange programme there and so here I am, I'll tell you about this memorable experience.

let's start with the preparation, it was my busiest week I've ever spent because I have to prepare all the things by myself such as visa, tickets, apartments, and so much more.

even worse my Personal Tailor project deadline and my LDR kind of things with le boyfie happened at the same time. I'm totally fucked up that time I could say.

so for the minimal grade you should have to take this programme is 2,75 as far as I remember. dont you dare to say it's a low grade! ESMOD has a different way than others univerisities, so people who get 3 is soooo-damn-pretty-crazy-hardworking person. oh, and you have to prepare your portfolio at fashion design and pattern drafting subject to the headmaster and later he will send it to the ESMOD you're prefer and in my case is ESMOD Lyon.

yea, that's a little story about the preparation and let's move to my favorite part :

I choose Lyon inspite of the famous Paris because so many reasons. first of all it's more homey to be lived in, Paris is not safe for you who havent known about the city so well. there's too many pickpocket and they'll very individual.

no I'm not your honey pie

been really busy these past few days, so here I am now take a lil time to take care of my blog which hasnt been touch for a long time. hahaha

where to start?

last week I started my forth semester at ESMOD, and the hectic hits me right in the face from the very first day.

new task, new assignments, new presentations, and so on.

this semester I had a big project called Casual Workshop for Galleries Lafayette, me and some of my friends have to build a brand that will be placed at Galeries Lafayette later on. so yea, you can imagine how busy I will be.

BUT,

this Saturday I'll go to Lyon, France. no, not a full time holiday but it's a student exchange program from ESMOD Jakarta.

been really really excited. seriously.

it's like one biggest oppurtinity to have a different experience, to study fashion abroad, like one of my dream comes true. be patient for my next post! ;)

rainy summer

greetings from Bali!

I am still here ; yet kinda miss my hometown.

in needed to hang out with my folks.

actually it's not a summertime, but ever since Indonesia only has two weathers. so yeah.

shopping is a medicine

people who say money can't buy you happiness definitely don't know where to shop.

I mean, yea call me a shopaholic. but no I guess there's so many people who are more lavish than me.

and what you shud know guys, I do really picky on shopping and so it takes time like a really looooong time. my mom and my friends already know if they go shopping with me then they must be patient. hehe

that's a lil fact about my shopping life.

and then back to the topic, in this post I'll give you some tips and tricks for shopping.

first of all, everyone asked me like "do you prefer shopping online or walking around the mall?"

I might say I don't know where to choose, cause it depends on what I want to buy.

first.

decide what you really want. I mean the model, the colour, and of course your budget.

for example you want a black basic knitted outerwear and your budget is around 400.000

then it's so easy for you to get it, go to mall, find a shop call them as New Look, Forever21, or H&M.

they all must be have that kind of black basic knitted outerwear.

problem solved.

"what if my budget is below 400.000?"

there's a social media called instagram. and I am sure you all have an instagram.

find at their hashtag something like this "#outerwearmurah , #outerhitam, and so on"

it might look silly but it always work for me. they made a silly hashtags. I know.

online shop mostly sell with a lower price than a shop at mall right?

problem solved.

second.

you go to mall with your friends and let's say you entering Topshop. you fall in love with their boots and you're like "this is the boots that I've been searching for."

but it's 1.200.000 then just try em on first, don't be like "at the end of the day I'm not gonna buy this boots anyway. it's too expensive for me." just try em on, it may kill your curiosity. believe me.

with the price like that expensive doesn't mean it is comfortable to wear, so at least you try.

then if it's comfortable and you really looooove the model, then think twice.

if it is me, I'll buy it cause it must be has a good quality, and if you think you can find another at online shop it's okay. but if it worth the price I prefer buy the one that I really love than buy a I'm-not-really-like-it-but-it-look-similar-so-yeah-lets-buy-it boots.

cause at the end of the day you'll not gonna wear them as often as if you buy the one that you really love.

third.

me, when I'm trying clothes at fitting room it must be take a long time to think.

"if I buy this, how can I mix it with my clothes?"

"it may looks good if I wear this with this shoes."

"oh, I've already the similar model but different color. shud I buy it?"

"is it too overexposed?" cause personally I hate overexposed clothes.

"how often I'd wear this clothes if I buy this?"

"can I wear this to a special occasion?"

"is the price worth the quality of the clothes?"

"is the cutting fits my body so well?"

and so on.

so guys. think before you buy something at Mall or at online shop.

clothes that look good on other people doesn't mean it will look good on you too.

be smart to know your goods and bads. 

and as long as you are confident with everything you wear then people have no excuse to judge you.

tiny islands

new year holiday and we decided to explore new islands around Bali. and the choice goes to Nusa Ceningan.

it's a suppa tiny island yet sooo interesting to visit.

a very recommended cottage called Le Pirates. I'm sure you're gonna totally in love at the first sight.

it's an outdoor bathroom actually and yea it's a lil bit awkward, you know, when.... oh you can continue by yourself.

ever since everyone started asking me about this swimsuit on my ask.fm I'll answer the curious questions. I bought it online on instagram, and again I never remember the name of the online shop. just search what you want on hashtag and they'll show up exactly what you want guys. simple as that.

I continue the rest of my holiday to go to Gili Trawangan. it was totally a beautiful place.

perfect place to chill out at Gili Trawangan called Casa Vintage.

the next destination is my favorite one among all. it's The Edge Uluwatu. the most beautiful place I've ever seen in Bali with the greatest hotel service. I think it deserve a 9,5. they got the best mocktails ; good taste of meals ; good swimming pool.

next is Anantara Uluwatu. yap Uluwatu got the best places. Anantara is really a good Hotel, they got the best infinite pool I've ever seen so far. 8,7 for Anantara.

2014 flies too fast, or is it just me?

too many memories, too many stories, too many dramas, too many ups and downs, and it all ends.

in this post I want to thank my family for always supporting me, altho I know they all might not read this blog ;

my boyfriend for being the most annoying yet lovable person. and we reached our very first anniversary. merci beaucoup l'amour ❤️ ;

my folks ; my Bandung folks, we reached our 7years of friendship and I'm all sure that it will last till our teeth doesnt work like they used to before. lol

my Jakarta folks, supported each other in every-single-tiring-exhausting-assignments that we have to finished.

hedon folks in every situation. lol

and especially to all of you who read this blog ; to all my followers on instagram 

( I got featured by instagram because of one of my photographer buddy Alvin Yonathan, go check his IG. and yeah, because of that my followers increase like really fast. but no, I'm not and never gonna buy any followers on instagram for the sake of everything. )

and for this new year.

I've some resolutions :

1. be more patient in every situations.

2. always try to see things in the most positive way.

3. less anger. less drama.

4. build my own brand. pray for me.

5. travel more. explore new places.

6. read new books. as much as I can.

7. bring out the best in me. be a positive impact for everyone around me.

8. inspire people more and more.

9. do all assignments with maximum effort.
